THE LIVING WAGE
REDUCTION IN AUSTRALIA

_ MELBOUBNE, 26th July. Seductions ranging from 6d to 2s weekly in all States, except South Australia ana West Australia, take place from Ist August in the rates of pay under all awards made by the Commonwealth Arbitration Court.
In Melbourne the wage will be 14s a day, or £4 7a weekly; in Sydney, 14s 5d a day, or £4 9s 6d weekly; and in Brisbane, 12s 7d a day, or £3 18s 6d weekly.
No alteration occurs in Adelaide. In Perth there will be an increase of od per week.
