KIOSK BURNT DOWN

BOTOBUA, This Day. The Whakarewarewa Tea Kiosk, aa extensive building, was burned to tha ground at 5 o'clock this morning. A heavy wind was blowing and a torrential rain was falling when the brigado arrived, and it was hopeless to tr~ and save the building,- and they concentrated on the surrounding dwellings, which were effectively isolated. The kiosk is owned by Nathan and Co., Auckland, and leased by Mrs. Donaldson. It was used for supply refreshments and for dancing. A carved housa adjoining- was u?"Hmaged. The insurances are unknown.
