JASCHA HEIFETZ.
Jascha Heifetz, the famous violinist, under tho management of Messrs. J. and N. Tait, will give two recitals at the Town Hall, Wellington, on Thursday, 11th August, and Saturday, 13th August. Special attention is directed, to the fact that the box plans for preferential booking in connection with tho Wellington season of Hcifetz will open at The Bristol to-morrow at 9 a.m. Since July of last year Heifetz has had a very busy timo travelling and giving recitals. He left New York twelve months ago on a world tour of Europe, India, the Dutch Indies, and Australia, returning via Honolulu and California. Last August, however, he underwent an operation for appendicitis. As soon as he felt strong enough again Heifetz returned to Europe and resumed his tour of Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, and Spain. Last January ho sailed for Cairo, where two very successful recitals were given. A tour of India followed, and Heifetz arrived in Sydney, via Singapore and Java, where several recitals were given. His tour of Australia has been a big success. In New Zealand only the four centres will bo visited.
