REPRESENTATIVE GAME
The first representative match to be played locally this season is to take place at Athletic Park to-morrow afternoon, when Wellington will meet South Canterbury.
The South Canterbury players arrived in Wellington by the Maori this morning, and those taking part in tho match to-morrow will be: —JTairbrother; Forrester, Trotter, Gibb; A. Lawson, G. Lawson; A. Strang; E. Stewart; J. M'Bride, Southgate, Bitch ie, Bergin, Pannellj M'Kcnnn, D. Stewart; emergencies, bucks, Thomson, C. Stewart, Connelly; forwards, Dwan, Doyle, Stevenson.
The Wellington team as originally selected was as follows:—Full-back,' i^aleolm; three-quarters, Elvy, South, Ramson; five-eighths, Johnson and M. Nicholls; half, Kilby; wing-forward, Porter; hookers, Osborne and O'Began; lock, Emerson; supports, J. Shearer and Taylor; bank rankers, Pringlc, Edgar; emergencies, backs, Eushbrook and Lang; forwards, M'Hardy and Thomas. Owing to injuries, however, Pringlo and Osboruo have notified that they will bo unable to play. Thomas (Petone) replaces Pringle, but this afternoon the name of the player to take Osborne's place was not available.
Mr. \V. ,T. Carson will bo the referee.
