UNION RESOLUTIONS
The Wellington Watcrsiders' Union at its monthly stop-work meeting this morning resolved: "That this stop-work meeting of the Wellington Waterside Workers' Union protests emphatically against the system of unemployed relief -work being mado an instrument of the wage-reducing policy of the Government and local councils, and asserts that there is no justification whatever for taking advantage of the starving unemployed to further reduce the standard of living of tho wage workers in this country.''
Unemploymen was discussed at a stop-work meeting of seamen held this morning, Tvhen the following resolution was carried:—"That this . stop-work meeting of members of the Federated Seamen's Union of New Zealand wholeheartedly endorses the demands of the unemployed for trade union rates for full maintenance."
