MAN IN WATER WITH LEGS TIED

AUCKLAND, This Duy. Loud cries for help caused some excitement at the King's WJiarf shortly before 8 last evening. A man. was discovered in the harbour clinging to a wharf pile. A waterside worker lowered a lifebuoy with a line attached; but the man was unable to get into the lifebuoy because his legs were tied together with string Iho gatekeeper, solved the difficulty' by climbing down the piles into the water mid putting the lifebuoy round tho man who wua then hauled to the wlinrf. The police subsequently took charge of him
