CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Steady progress in the electrical development of Christehureh, and satisfactory financial results .on the year's working are recorded in the annual report of the municipal electricity department. In the year ended 31st March last the profit from the sale of electricity was £23,----997, compared with £30,953 in the previous year, arid £14,320 in the year ended on 31st March, 1925. The profit on the trading account, wiring, show room, and garage was £2619 ISi 9d. After making the usual payments to the sinking fund and reserve, a balance of £14,498 12s lid was left. The whole of this amount was transferred to sinking fund reserve.
