ANGLICAN SYNOD
TO-DAY'S MEETING,
AN IMPORTANT SESSION
The second sossion of the 24f;h Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Wellington opened this afternoon in the .Dominion Farmers' Instituto, being presided over by Dr. T. H. Sprott, Bishop of Wellington. Practically all the clergy of tho diocese are in attendance, as well as the lay members.
In his presidential address, reported elsewhere, the Bishop roforrred to tho Bevised Prayer Book, most of his address being taken up witJK. the subject. A Bill dealing with the fundamental clauses of the Church's Constitution has been remitted frcrni General Synod for consideration, aiid the Bill, the Bishop said, is the most important tha"t has ever come before them, demanding the most serious considoration: it would, he hoped, be given precedence over other business.
This afternoon's proceedings opened with the reading of the Bishop's charge. After the election of various committees, Synod will /jet to work on a lengthy agenda paper, there being afternoon and evening • sessions Until about next Tuesday.
