Cold, squally weather has been experienced, and considerable r»ln has fallen in the North Island and the north-east portion of the South Island, while fair weather has ruled In tho West Coast and southern districts. Southeasterly winds have prevailed, with decreasing force, northward of Wcstport and Kalkoura. and moderate to strong north-easterlies elsewhere. The disturbance in the North is now moving eastwards.
