LONDON, 19th June.

The steamer Essen, from Australia to j Hamburg, has arrived at Amsterdam with a fire burning in No. 3 hold. Despite the efforts of the fire brigade the outbreak is still raging. It is surmised that the fire started amongst the copra which comprises a portion of the j vessel's cargo. Openings have been cut! in the side of the vessel to allow of the; passage of the water, buE a heavy list' prevents the flooding of the hold. ;
