PADEREWSKI'S FAREWELL RECITAL.

For his farewell, recital, to 'be given at the Town »all, Wellington, on .25th June, Paderewski will play a number of his favourite selections from the works of Chopin, the great Polish composer. It has been said that Paderewski is able to breathe into the Chopin music the enthusiasm and passion of the author, and in all parts of the world his playing of this beautiful music has been acclaimed. Apart from the merits of the concert itself, this will be Paderewski's final public appearance at Wellington, and probably the last occasion on which the people of this province' will have the opportunity of seeing and hearing this noted personality. Paderewski has intimated his intention of devoting his proceeds of the farewell recital for the immediate relief of necessitous cases of New Zealand soldiers-who served in the Great War.
