HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

Although it contains several items of outstanding merit, "Second to None," which is being staged by the Robert Roberts Bon-Bon Revue Company at His Majesty's Theatre this week, lacks somewhat in the humour that one expects to find in a production of its type. There seems to be no principal comedian to provide plenty of nonsense, and to keep the audience laughing all the time. There are, however, features that compensate in some measure for this. The company certainly possesses one or two really good vocalists, while there is some attractive dancing by. the Bon-Bons, the ballet, and Miss Arline Patersou, whose work is very fine. Miss Patcrson and the ballet appear in several pleasing dance and song numbers. Miss May Webster's rich voice is heard in several appealing numbers, including "Calling To You" and "Sahara," which ?3 sung in connection with a most effective Oriental item, "Eastern Nights." In this item there is also dancing and some clever work by the Eleven Rascals, who are proving such an asset to the company. A sketch that is particularly appealing is "Age"—Tibby and Shirley, two of the Rascals, representing childhood; May Webster and Mick Morton, youth; and Molly Hughes and Robert Roberts, age. It is attractively staged, and features the rather haunting "Let's Grow Old Together." Mention must also be made of June Mills, who has that sunny personality and happy knack that make an audience enthuse at dice. Miss Mills is certainly responsible for. more than her fair share of laughs.
