Provide for the reduction of contributions of local authorities in respect of main highways, to give power to revest roads and streets temporarily in local authorities, to provide for the patrolling of roads and streets subject to the said Act, and to enable the Wellington City Council to make bylaws as to. speed of traffic on such roads and streets. 3. To amend Section 8 of the said Act so as to extend the borrowing powers under the said Act by the sum of £100,000 and to enable the Wellington City Council to make temporary advances for the purpose of the said Act as proposed to be amended by this Bill from District Fund. 4. To repeal Section 63 of the Local Lesislation Act, 1926. A copy of the above Bill has been deposited in the Magistrate's Court, Lambton quay, Wellington, and also at the Town Clerk's Office, Town Hall, Cuba street, Wellington, and such copies are there open for public inspection for a period of three full weekß from the first publication of this advertisement.
