Police cases in the Magistrate's Court yesterday were dealt with by Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M.

Charles Batchelor, a labourer, aged 27, was fined £1, in default three days' imprisonment, for bchaviug in a diaorderly manner on Lambton quay. He was returning from a partly* shortly after midnight on Saturday, and, according to | a police evidence, kicked over a liucket which a porter had placed on the footpath outside an hotel.

Found on licensed premises after hours, Ralph Clrke, cook, aged 34, was fined £2. Ho was fined £1 for failing to give his name and address.

For her second offence of drunkenness, Agnes Adcli.i White, aged 47, was fined £1, the amount of her bail. One first offender was fined 10s, the amount of his bail, and another, who spent Saturday in the cells, was convicted and discharged.

For his second offence of drunkenness, John Shannon, aged 53, was fined 10s, in default 48 hours' imprisonment by Mr. W. M. Coy, J.P., i n the Mount Cook Police Court yesterday. Another second offender, Alexander Bell, aged 74, was fined £1, tho amount of his bail. Two first offenders, who did not appear, were ordered to forfeit their bail, 10s in each case.
