Wellington's first representative engagement of the season will ( be with Taranaki, at Hawera, on 6th July. Among the^players in action in; Wellington are a number whohave, represented New Zealand, including" W. Elvy, M. Nicholls, L. Johnson, K. S. Svenson, F. Tilyard, li. A. Thomas, J. Shearer, and A.' Pringle. There are others also who have had considerable representative experience. A report that J. Steel (is to join up with Petorie is incorrect.
