"Fruit.—Apples per Tainui arrived satisfactorily, and demand is good for all sorts, particularly red, of which none are.available until Port Caroline dscharges next week. Prices are as follows: Statesman 16s to 20s per case, Newton Pippin 18a to 20s, Pioneer 18s, Stunner. 14s'to 17s. "Hemp.—Manila market quiet. A grad* June-August shipments quoted £43 sellers. Sisar market dull and easier owing to absence of demand. Sales reported of Tanganyika June-July shipments, No' I £37 10s and No. 2 £36 15s . c.ii.
