BOXING.
At the Town Hall next Monday night Harry Casey will seek to wrest from Laehie M'Donald the middleweight championship o£ New Zealand. .Neither; o£ these contestants has as yet appeared before a Wellington audience, and as the pair are rivals for supremacy in their class and have met on several occasions there is no doubt that a first-class exhibition of boxing will take place. The main contest will be preceded by five amateur preliminaries, which are announced as follows:—Amateur welterweights, J. Strange v. F. Stone; amateur bantams, H. Thomas v. C.Hurne; amateur middleweights, H. Dickson v. C. Anderson; amateur featherweights, F. Keith v. A. Curran; amateur tmddleweighto, A. J. Cleverlcy (present amateur middleweight champion of New Zealand) v. A. Tyree. Seats may be reserved at the box office at Ned Perry's (Manners street), and early door tickets L ar« aim arattable.
