LONDON, 14th June. 'The Times" Dublin correspoident states that the polling was unexpectedly heavy in. nearly .every constituency. The constitutional elements have won despite the Republicans' admittedly superior organisation and largo campaigning funds, which de Valera recently obtamed in America. Mr. Cosgrave declared before the election that he would not remain in office unless he won at least fifty seats. This now is most doubtful, but the declaration will' not prevent a big alliance with some of the smaller constitutional groups. This seems the most; probable result'of an election which reaffirms'the determination of a majority of the people in the Free gtate to support .the Constitution, and the Treaty, on which the.Constitution is based.
