GREAT WINNERS IN ENGLAND
A period of 32 years has elapsed since Isinglass retired from the race track in England, and his stake-winning record still stands, but Coronach, having stakes to the value of £43,871 to his credit at the end of his three-year-old career, may dethrone the Isonomy horse, for he is well engaged this season. In a perusal of figures bearing on great stake-winners on the English Turf it is interesting to relate that most of the horses included therein were privately bred by the men whose colours they carried.
