It must bo gratifying to the travelling'public, should they at any time roquire the services of a competent mechanic, or taxi-car, to know the C. C. Franks's Garage, Shannon, can always be relied upon. Many who have visited the wonderful hydro-electric works at Mangahao have realised what an enormous amount of heavy cartage has been, and is still, necessary to complete the construction. Tho c&ntractor for *the carting of all materials to. the works is Mr. 0. C. Franks, Shannon, who, is ably and conscientiously fulfilling, as time has proved, his part of the ■ contract. Where cartage of all classes is required, Mr. Franks will attend to anyone's requirements judiciously and impartially. The foreman mechanic*of the garage (Mr. R. Christie) is well known, and. to those who might have to at some time or other. got out and get under, it would bo wise to seek his advice, as tho practical knowledge of all classes of cars which Mr. Christie has is always readily sought after. In addition, Mr. Franks . has at all times a consistent day and night taxi sorvice, and parties to the Mangahao works are specially catered for. The trains arriving at Shannon are always met, and passengers can always rely upon civility, punctuality, and reliability from tl)e drivers of the C. C. Pranks's taxis. • -
