CRIME PUNISHED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) « DUNEDIN, This Day. Joseph Martin Eodgers, aged 50 years, a clerk who was charged with stealing £18 from a cash box, was admitted to two years' probation, and a prohibition order was issued against him. It was shown that the accused was employed by Wise and Co. He had been drinking, and broke open the box. John James Stubley was charged with obtaining a trumpet valued at. £37 by false pretences. He waa sentenced to three months' imprisonment. The accused,.when arrested at Nelson, was then on probation.
