VERDICT FOE £1000.

A claim for £1500 damages for .ilJeged negligence, arising out of a motor fatality in November last, was concluded boforo his Honour the Chief: .fustice and a jury in the Supreme Court to-day. The accident happened on 17th November, 1926, when a Mastcrton scrvii*e «-.ar and a motor-car, the latter belonging to Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., collided. The service car was overturned, and William Kirk Henderson, a passenger, received injuries f;om / which he died two months later.
