MOTOK-CYCLING
A RELIABILITY TRIAL
A motor-cycle -reliability competition was held during the week-end. Fiftytwo machines- entered, and the course was from "Wellington to Wanganui, via the Manawatu and back, via the- Walrarapa. The'first rider left Wellington at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, and most of the competitors finished at tho "Wellington. Post Office lato yesterday afternoon. During - the "last part of the journey unfavourable weather was experienced, and some oi the Toads in the vicinity of Eketahuna were under water. There was only one mishap, a rider named Allen haying a spill just before reaching Palmerston North yesterday afternoon. He fractured his collarbone, and after receiving attention from a doctor he was taken to AVellington in one of the official cars. > The arrangements were excellent, and the riders speak very highly of the work, of the secretary (Mr. M'Fcdrics).
