The Lower Hutt Borough Council last night decided to purchase an American typewriter. Previously councillors had urged that preference be given to a British machine. Mr. Rowland Rispin, of Alvaston, Derby, shire, has completed a miniature calendar for 1927, which is claimed to lie the smallest of its kind in the world. The calendar can be covered by a three-penny-piece, but is so clear that it can be read quite easily without the aid of a magnifying glass. i
