BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY.
<jJi f weel >-end, at the British Sailors' Society .was a pleasant one. On Saturday night a very-enjoyable entertainment to given by the Magpie Pierrot Entertain™ the rooms being filled. At the conclusion, a nearty vote of thanks wag proposed by the society's Port Missioner, and carried with acclamation and cheers. Items were contributed by Mesdames Larcher, Jackson, Childs, and Stearman, Messrs. Larcher, Jackson, Hancock, Childs, and the full company. Mrs. Stearman and Mr. Larcher were at. the piano, OnSunday a very large number of seamen sat down to tea presided over by Miss Steptoe and helpers. A very large congregation assembled to listen to the stirrins address by Mr. W. H. Gardiner. During the service a solo was sung by Mr. Padman. The sailors' hour was a happy one Mr. W. Little presided at the organ
