It is 29 stories high, an« extends for a full block along Michigan Boulevard. It has 3000 outside rooms, and 3000 private baths, with circulating ice water in every room. There is a library of 25,000 volumes* An Exhibition Hall covers 35,000 square feet. There are eight ballrooms, - club' rooms for men and women, and a theatre that seats 1200. A two-story colonnade on the roof provides extra facih. ties for dancing. Besides many privata rooms, there are four commodious restaurants and a lunch room. The main dining-room has a seating capacity for 4000, and the banquet chamber contains 3000 chairs. . , ,
Sixty thousand bath towels and 50.----000 linen face towels are included in the equipment of the rooms.
The furniture is mostly in the stylo of Louis XV. and Louis *XVT. There are nine different designs, in walnut, mahogany, and maple. The construction of the furniture, for strength, durability, comfort, and beanty of design, is stated to represent a standard that has never before been attained in the Ignited States.
