VARSITY DEFEATED
Petone obtained an easy win over 'Varsity, at Kilbirnie. The ground was rather heavy, but a good, open game resulted. Petone were much to the fore in the first half, arid by half-time had scored two goals without their opponents scoring at all. 'Varsity made an effort in the second spell, and Warburton netted. This was to be their only goal, however, as Petone netted twice more before time, the final tally being, Petone 4. 'Varsity 1. Eaton, Linclop, and Dunfonl (2) were the scorers for Petone. Mr. D. Sutherland was referee.
