The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board Ims received a cable from its London office, dated 10th June, advising Smithlield delivered prices "at that date as under (movements, it' any, in prices for the week are shown in parentheses):—New Zealand wethers and maidens, Canterbury quality, selected brands, 561b and under C 3-Sd; 571b to 641b, 5%d (up 1-8(1); 651b to 721b, 4-?4d; other brands, 561b and under, (i 1-Sd; 571b to 641b, SHd; 651b to 721b, 41£ d. New Zealand ewes, 641b and under, 4 1-Sd. Xew Zealand lambs, Canterbury quality, 361b . and under, 9%d; 371b to 421b, 8 3-Sd; *31b to 501b, Sd; seconds, SVid (down 1-Sd); selected brands, 301b and under,-9d; 371b to 421b, 8 1-Sd (down 1-Sd): other brands, first quality 361b and under, 85id; 371b to 421b, Sd; second quality, 301b to 321b, average, B?id. Australian lambs are not quoted. Argentine lambs, first quality, 361b and under ■Sd: 371b to 421b,- 7- J-4d. New Zealand beef, not quoted. Frozen yeal, not quoted. Lamb: Tone of market is better. Demand has improved. Consumption good. Mutton: Wethers, market is quiet and steady; ewes meeting better inquiry. Frozen pork, SOlb to 1201b, market firm; 1201b to 1801b, demand is dull. Mutton,- wether and maiden ewe, light, 0 1-Sd per 1b; . heavy., 4Vbdewe, light, 4 2-Sd; heavy, 4 1-Sd.* The Hank of New Zealand, Produce Department, .lias received the following advice from its London Office, under date 10th June:—The market for wether mutton is quiet and unchanged. Prospects for ewes are more favourable. The market for lamb is more active owing to increased demand.
