AMERICAN BOXES AND CRATES

TAUMAETJNUI, 10th June. -Meetings of the Timber Industry Advancement League at Manunui, Baurimu, and Taringamotu strongly supported the following resolution, and the secretary, was instructed to forward it to the Prime Minister: "That the Taumarunui branch of the Timber Industry League asks the .Government to shut out foreign butter boxes and cheese crates and. appreciates the action of Ellis and Burnand in giving their strawberry basket manufacture over to the Blind Institute, but deplores the fact that our Government allows an American basket to compete with blind New .Zealanders,"-
