Council proposes at a meeting, to be held on MONDAY, 20th day of JUNE, 1927, at 7.30 p.m. in the Council Chambers', Makaro .street, Eastbourne, to make and levy under the.provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920," ''The Rating Act, 1925," and all other Amendments and Acts enabling it in that behalf, the following Rates for the period commencing on the Ist day of- April, 1927, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1928, namely:— GENERAL RATE. A Geueral Rate for the purposes of the Borough under Section 77 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920," and all amendments thereto of fivepeuce halfpenny (5%d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value (£135,478) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne. HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD; A Hospital Kate under the provisions of "The Hospital and Charitable Aid Act, 1926," "The Rating Act, 1925," "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920," and all amendments thereto of. one peuny and seven-sixteenths of a penny (1.7-16(1) 'in the ! £ on the Unimproved Value (£135,478) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne. ■ SPECIAL OVERDRAFT. A separate Rate under the provisions of the "Eastbourne Borough Bank Account and Empowering Act, 1926," "Th- Rating Act, 1925," and all other Acts and Amendments enabling it in that behalf of one penny and five-sixteenths of a penny (1.5-16 d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value (£135,475) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne.

No. 1 Now Steamer Loan of £50,000 (1923) of sixpence (0d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value (£135,478) of all rateable property in tho Borough of Eastbourne. No. 2 New Steamer Loan of £8500 (1925) of one penny and three thirty-second!! of a penny (1. 3-32 d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value (£135,478) of all rateable property in tho Borough of Eastbourne. Ferry Loan of £13,900 (1913) of me penny and _ five-eights of a penny (l%d) in the £ on tho " Unimproved Value (£135,478) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne. SANITATION FEE. An Annual Sanitation Fee uuder Section SO of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920" of thirty shillings (30s) on all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne having v building erected thereon from which the Council is prepared to remove all refuse and nighlsoil. : AND it is further notified that all such Rates shall be payable in one instalment on the Ist day of August, 1927, at the Office of the Council, situate at the Ferry Wharf, Wellington.
