During a heat wave in Paris recently a group of scientists held an investigation to find out how hot hats were. The experiments were made at a temperature of 97deg. Fahrenheit. The sporting cap was found to be hottest of all, with a heat beneath it of 98.6deg. The Derby was next at 92deg. Felt hats showed only 86dcg., and the stiff straw 79deg.
