During a heat wave in Paris recently a group of scientists held an investigation to find out how hot hats were. The experiments were made at a temperature of 97deg. Fahrenheit. The sporting cap was found to be hottest of all, with a heat beneath it of 98.6deg. The Derby was next at 92deg. Felt hats showed only 86dcg., and the stiff straw 79deg. The panama won over all with only 77deg —20dcg. cooler under the hat. Jhan. wrtiide,. : - •
