DISASTER IN ITS WAKE

(A.P.A. and "Sun.") THE HAGUE, 2nd June. Eye-witnesses of the cyclone which swept a region in Holland describe its approach as though it were a heavy black pillar of smoke,- like a. distant fire. When it came nearer it was seen to be a whirlwind, topped by whirling black clouds. Within the area of the whirlwind, furniture, trees, roof-tiles, pieces of wood and iron, and even chickens were tossed about. The storm completely devastated a strip of land a hundred metres wide. Five peoole were killed and hundreds wero injured.
