DEATH OF TRAINER

Some years ago Mr. Higgins met with, an accident, being left injured on the roadside on a frosty night, after a collision between a gig he was driving and an unknown motor-car. A year or so later Mr. Higgins was narrowly saved from death from poisoning in a mysterious occurrence in which Mr..-A; Watson, another Opaki trainer, lost his life. Deceased had been in poor health for some time, and was under medical treatment for heart trouble.
