QUEEN'S THEATRE.

There commenced at the popular Queeus Theatre at this afternoon's matinee, Buck Jones's latest and greatest Western "Desert Valley," an adaptation of Jackson Gregor/s famous romance of the same name, which proved a phenomenal "seller. It is showing every evening, the programme commencing at S p.m. sharp. Comedy, adventure, and suspense abound in this- fine picture The story deals with the feud of cattlemen over water rights. Buck plays the part of an irrepressible cowboy, who has a knack for getting into trouble with other people s troubles. Virginia Brown Faire is the girl in the case, and Malcqlm Waite, the ruthless owner of the water rights. Hard riding, spectacular ' fighting, and comedy of a rare order make this one of the best westerns seen locally for some time. The supports and incidental music are described as exceptional.
