MALE VOICT CHOIR OF 100. A male choir of 100 has never appeared on the concert plaiform in New Zealand. The Wellington pmblic, however, will have an opportunity to-morrow night of hearing one when -.that fine, well-balanced body of singers, tne Commercial Travellers' Choir, are cienbining with the renowned Dunedin Male Choir for a performance of David's "The Desert." This fine work, written for male voices only, is seldom heard, and as it has not been performed here for over twenty years, music-lovers will appreciate the chance of hearing something which will be quite fresh. The accompaniment will be played by an orchestra 'of twenty-seven. The programme is being; supplemented by the following four wefll-known part-songs:— "The Soldiers' Choirus," "In Absence," "A Viking Song," and "Alexander," solos by Messrs. S. E. -Rodger (Wellington), Reg. James (Duneclin), and an item by the Lyric Quartette. Altogether the programme promises to be an excellent one, and should therefons attract a big house.
