DOUBLED LAND VALUES

There has been a lot of controversy lately about the way land values in the Lower Hutt have risen since the Government commenced the railway, and a statement has been made that £9 5s per foot has been refused for residential sites in parts of thi3 town. It is certainly a fact that the price of land has risen to double and treble its former price since the district has commenced to forge ahead, but this has been in nearly every case for sections that were cut up years ago and held for a rise. There is now a chance for the genuine home-seeker to buy to advantage right on the ground floor and so reap the rise that is sure to come in the near future and as soon as the Hutt Bridge is under construction. This is in the Woburn Road Estate, which is advertised to-night by Messrs. Purdie and Baker, Ltd., and they are in a position to sell to buyers on most advantageous terms. This estate is right in the very centre of the most beautiful part of the Valley, and is so close to the business area, yet not of it, that we do not know of any other block of land that has such a bright future. Representatives of the above firm will be on the ground Friday and Saturday afternoon, when all information can be obtained.—(Published by arrangement.) Messrs. Ramsey Wilson and Co. will offer for sale, at their rooms, Manners street, on Monday, 6th June, property, situated at Korokoro road, Petonc.
