Police cases in the Magistrate's Court yesterday were dealt with by Mr. E. Page, S.M. With a long list of previous convictions, Lindsay Duguid, a labourer, aged 43, admitted having been found begging in the city yesterday; "Give me another chance, your Worship, and I'll turn over a new leaf," he pleaded. "You have had chances, and have not availed yourself of them," said the Magistrate, in imposing a sentence of three months' imprisonment with hard labour.
