ALLEGED MURDER
MOTHER COMMITTED FOR TRIAL

_ GORE, This Day. Tryphena-Clifford Rae on a charge of murdering her four children on 11th April was. committed to the Supreme Court at Invercargill for trial. In the meantime she is to be kept under observation by experts. ■ . ■ . Dr. J. E. Rogers stated that the accused admitted shooting the: children. Speaking as a general practitioner, and from the general observation of Mrs. Rae while in hospital, he could not certify to her being insane. • . ■ Sergeant Packer supplied a statement taken from Mrs. Rae. while,in the hospital, admitting having shot the children and referring at length to alleged domestic' disturbances throughout her married life, culminating in a decision-ot shoot her children. She. alleged cruelty against the husband,, and also .admitted attempting to take her .own- life.,. ■ . :
