A DOCTOR'S CLAIM

Dr. G. O. Jacobscn (Mr. B; Egwl Proc?!r ae(i gainst Mrs Eileen M'l'adzen (Mr. G. Winder) in the Magistrates Court yesterday, before Mr. K. :Page, 5.M... claiming £1 6b for two ;professional visits paid to the defendant s husband in December last. The plaintiff gave evidence that he found Mr. M'Fadzen suffering from what he diagnosed as influenza when he called at tho house on 2nd December. Ho prescribed suitable treatment as he thought the illness might reach pneumonia. He would havo called tho next day, but a i«J ? ne messago canpolled the visit as M Fadzen .was thought, to be better. The following day, he found M'Fadzen much worse and possibly suffering from pneumonia, and ho told the defendant that her; husband would bo sent to hospital_if he was not. better that afternoon Later in the day, witness sent M'FadHen'to-the-hospital^riWtirgeflf n«f: '?# P^-f" hi» first visit only. Tho Magistrate hold taat tho evidence had not shown neirligencp in the caro of 'the patient, and gavo oudgment for tho plaintiff
