SEVEN YEARS' GAOL
BURGLAR SENT TO PRISON

PALMEBSTON N., This Day. When sentencing John Graham Oxley to seven years" reformative detention for breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime, Mr. Justice Ostler said: "It is the only thing to do with burglars like you."
After perusing the list of previous convictions, his Honour said: "I shall have to put the onus upon you to show reformation before you get out of gaol again. I will inflict a long term of detention, and you will remain in prison until such time as yon can convince the Prisons Board that you are fit to come put."
