KILLED WHILE BUSHFELLING

GISBOBNE, 30th May. Rupert Harris (aged 40), married with four children, was killed this afternoon while bushfelling on the Kopua Station, owned by the East Coast Commissioners. Only meagre details are to hand, but it is stated that a falling tree struck a small rata stump, and the end of the tree flew up, Harris being killed almost instantaneously.
