' The annual report of the directors of the New Zealand Co-operative Marketing Association, Ltd., for the year ended 30th April, 1927, congratulated shareholders on results obtained during the season 1825-26, and which show a steady increase in the volume of business as against the previous season. Produce handled during the season in review was 117,038 boxes of butter, 103,002 crates of cheese, 6902 carcasses of frozen pork, and quantities of lamb, mttton, wool, and apples, etc., to the total value of £1,480,838 9s sd, representing in comparison with previous season, a decrease in butter by 36,249 boxes, and an increase in cheese by 18,980 crates. The decrease in butter is mainly due to factories with dual plants turning attention to cheese. Increase' in turnover« on the previous season is £113318 3s Bd. "The N.Z. Dairy Produce Control Board has now taken charge of affairs, and it remains to be seen how your association will fare under its jurisdiction in the future," states the report. After all expenses met and provision for contingencies, there- remains £3631 6s 9d available for distribution to shareholders. The directors have decided that, after allowing for a dividend of 5 per cent., on all pate up capital, absorbing £496 9s, the balanst be rebated to shareholder* in accordance with the amount of business transacted with the association on consignment. Retiring directors are Messrs. H. D. ForByth (Taranaki), T. Moss (Wellington), and W. Bryant (Otago), all eligible for re-election. -..•.'.
