The Mararoa arrived at Wellington at ten minutes to 9 this morning on her first trip In the ferry service this season. She was delayed in leaving Lyttelton last night until twenty minutes to 9, but mado a good run up the coast at an averace speed of 14.7 knots. She had a strong following wind all the way.

TAIROA AT OPUA.

The. Tairoa arrived at Opua at 8 o'clock this morning from Townsville to commence loading for Home. Sho will sail again on Thursday for New Plymouth, Wanganui, Lyttclton, and Is due here on 19th June to complete hor cargo. She sails on 22nd June for London, via Cape Horn.

THE MOERAKI.

The Moeraki arrived at Melbourne from Wellington, via southern ports, at 8 a.m. on Sunday.- She Is to sail again at 10 o'clock on Thursday morning for Wellington, vJa southern ports, and is due here on Friday week.

ISLANDS STEAMERS.

The Tofua left Nukualofa yesterday for Apia, where she is due on Thursday. The Kartigi left Lautoka on Saturday mornIns for Auckland direct. Sho is due at Auckland on Thursday..

The Walpahi leaves Auckland at noon on Thursday for Harotonga.

ROYAL MAIL STEAMERS.

The Aorangi arrived at Vancouver on Friday from Honolulu, and is to sail again to-morrow for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland, and Sydney. The Maunganur Is to leave Sydney on Thursday for Auckland, Suva, Honolulu, and Vancouver.

The Makura is to leave Rarotonsa to-day for Wellington and Sydney. She is due at Wellington on the 6th June, and at Sydney on the 11th June. ■

The Tahiti left Papeete yesterday evening for<- ban Francisco, where she is due on the 10th June.

The Huntingdon, with general cargo from Liverpool, arrived at Auckland on Friday, and Is due at Wellington on Monday. She is in command of Captain F. TJLIMAKOA ARRIVES.

After experiencing continual Kales all the way from Sydney the Ulimaroa arrived In the stream at Wellington at 11 o'clock this morning. She was berthed at NaJ^outh, Queen's Wharf, shortly after midday. The Ulimaroa left Sydney at 1 o'clock on Friday afternoon, and immediately ran Into a gale veering from the west to the south-west. This continued with heavy seaa and rain, without delaying the vessel, however, until 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, when she ran Into a southerly gale It was this that delayed tbe ship, and accounted for her late arrival.
