NOMINAL DAMAGES
DOMESTIC SLANDERED
Nominal damages to the extent of £5, the question of costs being reserved for further argument, were awarded to. Annie Jane Buddicorn in the Supreme Court yesterday.
The ease Was one in .which the plaintiff, for whom Mr. T. M. YTilford appeared, claimed £.501 damages front Joseph Barnao (Mr. P. J. O'Began) for slander. The'plaintiff had been a domestic employed by the defendant, the slander complained of being some words used by the defendant over three missing banknotes.
The jury found that the words complained of by the plaintiff had been used and swarded £5 damages
