THE SEASON'S PROSPECTS

The local primary schools have entered upon a season of Kugby football, which promises to be one of the best on record. Several more schools have joined the association controlling primary schools' Rugby footb? ■ .'■ and in the town competitions some foity-four teams are taking part with a number of teams competing in the Hutt Valley. ?* » likely th»t the annual tournament, with Manawatu, Wairarapa, Wanganui, and Wellington as participants, will be held during September in the Wairarapa. iTie A lngton Association hopes to be able to send a very strong team away. in the report presented to the annual meeting the winners of last year's primary school competitions were shown as follow:— .

-Senior grade (ten teams): Marist Bros. Dchool.

Junior grade (eleven teams): South Wellington School.

School Brade (teU teams): Terrace
