WELLINGTON COMMITTEE

A meeting of the management, committee of the Wellington 'Jtootbull Association was held last nignt. Mr. W. Duncan presided. There were.also present Messrs. K. J. Weir, W. L."Wilson,'W. JJ..Hicks, G. Aer«,U. A. Salt, 1?. H. Smyth, J. Oolcinaii, X Heath, C. J. Wuru, and B. A. Mabin. ,

The withdrawal of the Marist second C division team was agreed to. The Town Clerk at Lower' Hutt notified that the association could charge on the Lower Hutt ground on the 11th and 25th June. . . A Hospital player was suspended until such time as ho appears before the committee.

The following.transfers were grantedE. Mason from 1 Swifts to South Wellington, T. Smallbone from South Wellington to Seatoun (seventh division), R. Burns from Seatoun to Institute.

Iho entry of the Swifts Club in the third A division was accepted. , No action, was taken in regard to the application of the South Wellington Club for a re-play of their match against Hutt in the first B division, owing to non-ap-pearance of tte official referee. Correspondence was received notifying that Mr. B. L. Salmon had been appointed sole selector for the New Zealand teams against tlio Canadians.

The question of the dates for the F.A. Trophy matches was referred to the Fixtures Committee to report at the next meeting. It was agreed that the 24th September ■ was too late in the season to play Auckland, as. suggested by the Auckland Association.

Chatham Cup entiics have been extended to the 3Ut May. Wellington entries are as follows: Hospital, Marist, Thistle, Y.M:C.A., Diamonds, Institute (first A division), and Johnsonyille, Petone, Welgnsco, South Wellington, and Swifts (first B). .

It was decided that the conditions laid down in the letter from the Nelson Association for a curtain-raiser to the Canadian match on 3rd June could not be agreed to, and the matter was referred to the N.Z.F.A. to deal with.
