OPENING CEREMONY
EVENT IN HUTT HISTORY To-morrow afternoon will be an historic occasion in the records of the Hutt Valley. The new branch railway (part of the Hutt Valley deviation line) completed as far as Waterloo road, will be officially opened by the Prime Minister (the Eight Hon. J.G Coates) at 2.30 p.m. The ceremony will TT T?™6^ the Wobu:ru Station. o * w\ ""l?*^*" be received at Woburu Station by Mr. T. M Wil tain'tn^' f7 HUtt- aUd «'ere certain to be a large concourse of people amongst whom will be present: by invitation, members of; all the local bodies Inn *k t*^ C** Tbe Prime Minister and the Minister of Public Works (the Hon. £ S^WilUams) will speak, and after^all the speeches are delivered, Mr. Coates will open the line in the customary manner by driving an engine and breaking a ribbon. ■ ' H,^ M, ay°.rs.^ >etone : and Lower Hutt- will, preside at a function to be held upon the station platform, which will be covered for the occasion, when the guests will be entertained.
