RAID JUSTIFIED OTHERWISE (Published in The Thnes.) (Received 16th May, -.1 p.m.) * LONDON, 15th May. The political correspondent of “The Times” says that the Arcos raid was primarily for the purpose of searching for a State document of -the highest importance, stolen recently from a Government Department. '
The document has not yet been found, but the authorities consider, the raid amply justified by the discovery of secret strong rooms and. abundant ovidence proving the. existence of a vast Soviet organisation of a violent anti-British character. The* missing document is believed to have been burned. .
