SCOW STRANDED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) _ AUCKLAND, 15th May. ihe 26-ton auxiliary scow Scott was stranded on Waipu Beach on Friday afternoon owing to the rudder chain breaking after she had crossed the bar.’ The vessel was en route to Auckland with a cargo of sand. She is reported to be undamaged. The crew are camped on tne beach, and hope to float her next spring tides.
