The wool sales have closed. The series marked a sensational variation of the prices on the opening days, when there seemed to be almost n danger of collapse, the bidding being slack and the withdrawals heavy. There was a general lack of confidence, but a decision to curtail the series changed, the tone amazingly and prices hardened daily. Merinos, after the reaction, recovered, and closed at March rates. - Apart from scourede, which have not fully recovered, lialfbreds closed extremely firm, occasionally above March prices. Medium low igrossbreds closed
